Objective: To gain hands-on experience in supporting individuals experiencing homelessness by developing case management, crisis intervention, and advocacy skills. The intern will also enhance their cultural competence, communication abilities, and understanding of the systemic issues contributing to homelessness, all while adhering to professional ethics and contributing to the Center’s daily operations.  

 

General Description of Internship: 

  • Conduct routine paperwork for daily operations 
  • Support case management intake processes 
  • Assist volunteers during breakfast/lunch hours 
  • Assist in life skills training classes 
  • Engage with guests on a personal/professional level

  • Pursuing a degree in social work, psychology, sociology, human services, or a related field
