MEMBER COORDINATOR

FULL-TIME POSITION WITH BENEFITS, AVAILABLE IMMEDIATELY

 

This position days and times are September to May, Monday through Friday, Noon to 8:00 p.m. / June to August, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Location is 609 Ash Street Scranton, PA 18510.  Please email resume to Tricia Thomas, executive director, [email protected].

 

  • Register/Orientate members, receive the public, phone/message coordination, interpret BGC operation/programs to public/conduct tours, dispense/distribute information
  • Coordination of all transportation programming
  • Monitor/evaluate programs/services/activities to ensure safety of members, quality in programs & appearance of the Club
  • Maintain confidential information, create friendly atmosphere, receipt and processing of all program fees
  • Maintain member tracking/compile reports, oversee proper record keeping including activities/events conducted, breakdowns of daily participation figures, notable achievements and any problems/issues.
  • Oversee special programs/events, participate in the implementation of other Club activities as necessary
  • Maintains close, daily contact with Club professional staff, Club members, and supervisor to receive/provide information, discuss issues, explain guidelines/instructions; instruct and advise/counsel
  • Maintains contact with external community groups, schools, member’s parents and others to assist in establishing programs/relationships, resolving problems
  • Drive Club van as needed
  • Perform other job-related duties as requested  

 

 

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

 

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience in working with children.
  • Knowledge of youth development.
  • Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems.
  • Ability to deal with the general public.
  • Ability to plan and implement quality programs for youth.
  • Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment.
  • Mandatory CPR and First Aid Certification.
  • Valid PA State Driver’s License
