WORK WITH US 

Looking to join a growing, dynamic and collaborative design firm where your ideas and your growth are valued? BDA is seeking an Administrative Assistant for our Clarks Summit Office. This position will work closely with the Director of Administrative Services, Principals-in-Charge and Project Managers to execute the daily administrative tasks of an architectural firm.

Day-in-the-life: A day in the life of an admin assistant is never boring. To begin, tasks can include, but are not limited to, general proofing of daily correspondence, shipping/receiving, office supply management, assistance with event planning, generic data entry, creation/management of project contract documents and PA Department of Health project submissions. Strong organizational, communication, writing and grammar skills are essential along with an acute attention to detail. The ability to work independently and with initiative in a busy office environment is imperative.

The ideal candidate will be adaptable and looking to grow. Future opportunity is available to learn/assist with basic accounts payable functions such as project invoicing and the payment of bills. Prior experience/knowledge is not necessary but is a plus.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in English, History, Business, HR or equivalent professional experience is preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years’ working experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite/Outlook
  • Strong writing, grammar and communication skills
  • Proven team player
  • Knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
  • Knowledge of Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint is a plus
  • Knowledge of the architecture and construction fields is a plus
