ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND OBJECTIVES:
Adjunct faculty are part-time faculty hired to teach a specified course/s on a semester basis.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Prepares lesson plans and instructs students in a classroom and/or laboratory setting.
- Thoroughly prepares and teaches all course materials.
- Provides support and guidance to students to optimize learning outcomes.
- Completes and maintains all required documentation and records, including, but not limited to, grades, requisitions, rosters.
- Completes, reports and maintains grades in a timely manner.
- Fosters a professional classroom environment conducive to learning.
- All other duties as required by the Dean.

EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree, including a minimum of 18 credits in Science.
- Master’s degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- Demonstrated prior teaching experience preferred.
