Business Development Specialist

The Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce is hiring! We’re looking for a motivated and community-focused professional to join our team as a Business Development Specialist.

In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of economic growth in Lackawanna County—supporting business attraction, marketing real estate opportunities, coordinating events, and helping businesses launch and expand. This position works directly with our affiliate organizations—SLIBCO and The Scranton Plan—to promote our region as a top destination for business investment.

What You’ll Do:

• Serve as a key contact for companies interested in locating or expanding in our region
• Coordinate site visits, business meetings, and community tours
• Represent the Chamber at trade shows, events, and conferences
• Create marketing materials and keep real estate and business data up to date
• Plan and execute business development events such as ribbon cuttings and groundbreakings
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders, partners, and Chamber members

Who We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Marketing, Economic Development or a related field
• 1–3 years of experience in business development, marketing, or real estate
• Strong communication, organization, and project management skills
• Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
