The Community Intervention Center serves adults experiencing homelessness or living with a mental illness or a co-occurring mental illness and substance use disorder is recruiting for a full time Support Staff.
This is an excellent position for individuals interested in working with underserved client populations and who want to make a difference in the lives of those we serve. Responsibilities include basic needs assessment and referrals to shelter services, primary and behavioral health care, and employment programs. Support Staff may also help program participants with applications for government entitlement programs. Support Staff works alongside other program staff to maintain a safe and peaceful environment in the program at all times.
Successful applicants will have prior experience in a shelter or drop-in program, be familiar with harm reduction, trauma informed care and motivational interviewing, and possess basic computer skills.
