Position Overview

The IGNITE Entrepreneurship Intern will support the implementation of the Fall 2025 TechCelerator cohort and contribute to IGNITE’s broader incubation efforts. This role provides an immersive learning experience for students interested in entrepreneurship, economic development, or small business support. The intern will interact directly with program participants, assist in data tracking and storytelling, and collaborate with the IGNITE team to enhance marketing and outreach initiatives.

 

Key Responsibilities

  1. TechCelerator Program Engagement
    • Attend weekly evening TechCelerator sessions to observe and support the startup cohort.
    • Build professional relationships with entrepreneurs and represent the Chamber during sessions.
  2. Business Profile Development
    • Interview and develop business profiles for 4–5 cohort participants and incubator clients.
    • Write content suitable for use on the IGNITE website and internal program materials.
  3. Data Collection and Analysis
    • Create and maintain a tracking tool to monitor client progress and outcomes.
    • Organize and analyze historical and current client data to support program reporting.
  4. Client Needs Assessment
    • Meet with incubator clients and program graduates to gather feedback on their experiences.
    • Propose 2–3 program enhancements (events or workshops) based on client input.
  5. Best Practice Research
    • Conduct research on emerging trends in entrepreneurship and business incubation.
    • Summarize findings to inform internal program development.
  6. Marketing and Communications Support
    • Collaborate with the IGNITE Program Specialist to draft newsletter content and client updates.
    • Assist with the creation of a monthly virtual resource email and webinar topics.
  7. Event Planning
    • Contribute to the planning and execution of the IGNITE Graduation event in December 2025.

 

Skills and Qualifications

  • Interest in entrepreneurship, small business, or economic development.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong time management and organizational skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Canva or similar tools a plus.
    • Ability to attend evening sessions and work independently as needed.

By the conclusion of this internship, the intern will:
