Construction Laborer (Underground Utilities)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Construction Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist with various tasks on construction sites, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and safely.

Essential Functions:

• Assist with the preparation and cleanup of construction sites.
• Load and unload materials and equipment.
• Operate hand tools and power tools under supervision.
• Operate a hydro-vac for potholing and site cleanup.
• Safely operate a pick-up truck or bigger while towing a trailer
• Perform basic construction tasks, such as digging, lifting, and carrying materials
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
• Collaborate with other team members to complete tasks as directed by supervisors.
• Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in directional drilling/underground construction is preferred but not required.
• Ability to travel out of state when required.
• Ability to perform physical labor and lift heavy objects.
• Basic knowledge of construction safety practices.
• Good communications skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• CDL-A license preferred but not required.
• Safely operate a pick-up truck or bigger while towing a trailer.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time, able to scoop, bend, and lift up to 75lbs.
• Ability to work in the following environments: Outside. Hot, cold, rain, snow.
• Ability to be on call.

Travel: 50%

Compensation:

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The hourly pay-range for this position is $16.00/hr - $22.00/hr. The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
