Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated, energetic Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our sales and marketing team. This individual will be responsible for outbound prospecting—identifying, engaging, and qualifying business leads to help build a strong sales pipeline for our IT services, managed services, and cybersecurity solutions.

The ideal candidate is confident on the phone, highly organized, goal‑driven, and comfortable communicating the value of technical solutions to business decision-makers.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct high‑volume outbound calls, emails, and LinkedIn outreach to businesses within our target markets.
  • Identify key decision-makers (Owners, IT Managers, CFOs, etc.) and initiate meaningful conversations.
  • Use discovery questions to understand prospects’ IT challenges, cybersecurity risks, or pain points.
  • Educate prospects on Slick Cyber Systems’ services, including managed IT support, cybersecurity offerings, compliance assistance, and technology consulting.
  • Qualify leads using established criteria and schedule sales appointments or demos for the Account Executive/VP of Sales.
  • Track all conversations, notes, and lead activity in the CRM system.
  • Follow up on marketing-generated leads and re-engage older contacts when appropriate.
  • Meet or exceed weekly and monthly KPIs, including call volume, conversations, and appointments set.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing to refine messaging, campaigns, and outreach strategies.
  • Provide feedback on market trends, competitive insights, and prospect responses.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Prior experience in sales, telemarketing, lead generation, or customer‑facing roles (B2B preferred).
  • Strong communication skills—clear, professional, and confident on the phone.
  • Comfortable discussing technology concepts after training (no deep technical expertise required).
  • Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple leads simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (HubSpot, Zoho, Salesforce, etc.) is a plus.
  • Persistence, resilience, and a positive attitude—essential for outbound calling success.
