DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an experienced Concrete Finisher Foreman to lead field crews and oversee all phases of concrete construction, from layout and forming to pouring, finishing, and curing. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality project execution while coordinating daily operations, managing crews, planning materials and equipment, and maintaining project schedules. The ideal candidate combines strong technical concrete experience with excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to deliver quality work on time and according to project specifications.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee and promote project safety, including job site inspections, safety training, toolbox talks, Safe Plans of Action (SPA), record keeping, and incident and accident reporting.
  • Estimate and order materials such as concrete, reinforcement, and supplies. Ensure timely delivery.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and construction plans to ensure accurate layout and installation.
  • Plan, assign, and schedule work activities, coordinate construction phases, and prioritize tasks based on project needs.
  • Inspect work in progress and completed work to verify compliance with specifications, quality standards, and safety protocols.
  • Train, mentor, and guide crew members in proper finishing techniques, equipment operation, and safety procedures.
  • Identify equipment required for upcoming tasks and ensure proper allocation and maintenance.
  • Ensure company tools and equipment are properly secured, maintained, and tracked through the inventory control system.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Expert knowledge of concrete finishing, formwork, reinforcement, grade setting, and curing techniques.
  • Strong leadership qualities with demonstrated commitment to safety.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse personalities and manage crew dynamics.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues promptly.
  • Proficient in planning, scheduling, record keeping, and preparing work reports.
  • Competent in reading and interpreting drawings, specifications, and shop drawings.
  • Strong computer, verbal, and written skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade education is a plus.
  • Minimum of 7 years of concrete finishing experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
