At our bank, accuracy matters, but so does teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement. As an Accounting Specialist, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the financial integrity of the organization through reporting, reconciliations, analysis, and operational support.
What You'll Do
No two days are exactly the same! In this role, you'll:
- Manage accounts payable, invoice processing, vendor maintenance, and payment activities
- Monitor and facilitate fund movements between correspondent banks
- Perform account reconciliations and general ledger balancing
- Prepare financial reports and support reporting requests across departments
- Conduct variance analysis and research financial discrepancies
- Assist with wire transfers and vendor management activities
- Utilize Excel, Teams, and other technology tools to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency
- Document procedures and recommend process improvements
- Collaborate with departments across the bank to support strategic goals and financial operations
- Contribute to community outreach, bank initiatives, and organizational success

Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Experience in financial analysis, reporting, and account reconciliations
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Banking or financial services experience is a plus
