POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible to program, set-up and operate equipment in the CNC department. Ensures that the equipment runs efficiently and
that products are free of any defects. Critical features of this job are described under the headings below. They may be subject to

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Perform the set-up and operation duties on the CNC equipment according to customer specifications.
  • Ensure that machines are provided with adequate material in order to complete jobs correctly and efficiently.
  • Ensure that customer specifications are followed according to established schedule.
  • Perform quality checks on products to ensure product is manufactured according customer specifications.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and production reports as needed.
  • Ensure that machinery is working properly at all times.
  • Troubleshoot CNC equipment for problems and make the proper adjustments as needed.
  • Perform general maintenance on equipment as needed.
  • Monitor the quality of the products to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate daily issues and pertinent information to supervisors and other employees as needed.
  • Understand and follow all company policies, practices and procedures.
  • Ensure housekeeping duties are performed on the plant floor.
  • Follow all plant safety procedures in order to ensure personal safety and the safety of others
  • Assist other workers as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: Sufficient education to make appropriate arithmetic equations and complete written documentation; or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training that provides the desired knowledge, skills, and characteristics.

Required Experience: 3 months related experience 

Computer Skills: Basic Computer Skills

Certifications & Licenses: Valid Drivers' License Forklift Certification

Other Requirements: Ability to read. write and understand the English language. Basic mathematical proficiency in the addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers and fractions. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions: reading gauges and similar measuring devices
