PRIMARY FUNCTION: Overall management of the WRC Economic Advocacy

Project, Safe Housing Program and Legal Advocacy Program. Works in collaboration with the Crisis and Advocacy Services Director, Susquehanna County Program Manager and Legal Director to develop, implement and evaluate economic advocacy activities and resources for survivors throughout the various programs in WRC in order to provide economic advocacy and coordination of supportive services for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, and stalking

Responsibilities include administration of the program, program development and evaluation, education and outreach and direct services to survivors of domestic violence and sexual abuse.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, administration or related human services field.
  • Knowledge of domestic violence and/or sexual assault and a strong commitment to ending violence against women.
  • Feminist philosophy and ability to use the empowerment counseling model.
  • Management experience in a non-profit organization.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Experience in public speaking, organizational and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability in developing policies and procedures.
  • Travel is necessary and access to reliable transportation is essential, including for training and development which may necessitate being out of the area for a period of time (overnight stays).
  • Must be willing to schedule working hours to coincide with the priorities of the Center.
  • Must complete WRC’s required coalition approved training program within 6 months.
  • Must pass Act 33, Act 34, and FBI background clearances.
