ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND OBJECTIVES:
Adjunct instructors are part-time faculty hired to teach a specified course/s on a per-semester basis. The opportunity to continue teaching at the college is assessed every semester, and criteria for re-employment include: Attention to administrative deadlines (i.e., setting up course prior to semester start, grading student work, tracking attendance), timely and professional communication with students and colleagues, and students’ course/instructor evaluations.
Cyber Security Program instructional staff must provide guidance, supervision, and instruction to students, direct student learning, assess student progress in achieving the requirements of the program in the appropriate learning domains, and ensure that the components of the program curriculum meet current acceptable performance standards.
The Cyber Security Program currently offers its courses on an E-Learning platform (Canvas) and therefore is 100% online. However, the Program plans to adopt a hybrid learning model beginning in the 2023-2024 academic year. Therefore, the ability to support a flexible working schedule is required.
- Bachelor’s degree required, including a minimum of 18 credits in any combination of Information Systems, Cybersecurity or Computer Science courses.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Industry certifications preferred.
- Demonstrated prior teaching experience in a corporate or higher education setting preferred.
