ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND OBJECTIVES:

The Manager of Graphic Design (“Manager”) is responsible for working with internal and external clients consulting on concept, design style, format, production and timelines for projects including, but not limited to, printed and digital informational and marketing materials; College merchandise or signage; and special event promotional materials. The Manager will serve as a brand ambassador to ensure the College’s brand standards are upheld in all materials and correspondence for internal and external audiences.  The Manager will be part of the creative marketing team, assisting in the development of marketing campaigns and social media materials.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1.    Illustrates visual concepts by determining arrangement of material, color, font size and style, and photography and illustrations to be used in designs.

2.    Constructs and reviews rough drafts, discusses improvements, obtains approval, and prepares final layouts for production.

3.    Liaise with internal and external printers and agencies to ensure deadlines are met and materials are printed to the highest quality.

4.    Maintains content on all digital signage on College property.

5.    Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

KEY COMPETENCIES:

1.    Strong organizational skills.

2.    Ability to handle multiple tasks at once. 

3.    Must have impeccable customer service skills.

4.    Strong decisions making ability; must be able to make decisions quickly and soundly in a challenging environment.

5.    Excellent Computer skills to include, proficiency in Adobe Suite (primarily in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign), and Microsoft Office.

EDUCATION:

-        Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.

-        Advance Graphic Design Certification is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

-        5+ years’ graphic design experience in a professional setting required.

-        Prior experience in brand development and management required.
